Oh, where do I even begin? Ah, the Sukau Rainforest Lodge and Borneo Rainforest Lodge – a stunning and awe-inspiring experience; they are simply out of this world! I spent my days exploring the trails and taking in the spectacular views of the surrounding forest.

To believe I was lucky enough to experience both in one 7-day trip is something I will never forget! My journey began at Sukau Rainforest Lodge, where I was immediately taken aback by its beauty. I took a leisurely stroll around the grounds and enjoyed the tranquil atmosphere. The lush forest was alive with the chirping birds and the smell of damp earth.

I started my journey with a morning sunrise cruise down the Kinabatangan River. I was mesmerized by the beauty of the surrounding rainforest and the peacefulness of the river. As I gazed into the distance, I could see a plethora of exotic wildlife, from proboscis monkeys to hornbills. It was a sight that I will never forget.

When I arrived at the Sukau Rainforest Lodge, I felt like I was harbored to another world. As I explored the area, I was in awe of the diverse array of wildlife, from proboscis monkeys to orangutans, to gibbons. It was indeed an unforgettable experience and the perfect start to my trip!

We went on several guided tours of the rainforest. Our tour guide Mr. Lee was incredibly familiar with and passionate about the rainforest and its creatures. We encountered some of the most spectacular waterfalls and breathtaking scenery.

The next few days were spent at Borneo Rainforest Lodge, where I could participate in all sorts of activities, from river safaris to jungle trekking. I even had the chance to learn about the local culture and observe the ancient rituals of the indigenous people.

I made my way to the Sapa trail, a winding path that took me through the lush rainforest. As I hiked through the jungle, I felt at peace and genuinely connected to the environment. I even had the chance to see hornbills flying overhead, and it was a magical moment.

The best part, however, was the night safari, where I could witness the nocturnal wilderness. It was an adventure like no other! My time in Borneo & Sukau was over too quickly, but I left with memories that will last a lifetime. In the evening, I had the chance to admire the stars in the night sky, and the beauty of it conquered me. My birthday was spent at Borneo Rainforest Lodge. It was an incredible day filled with new experiences and beautiful memories.

The Coffin trail is a tale taking me through ancient caves and a suspension bridge. It was an incredible experience and one that I will never forget. After the Coffin trail, I enjoyed a relaxing afternoon in the Jacuzzi pool, soaking in the beauty of the rainforest. Later that night, I went on the Canopy walk, and it was an incredible sight. I felt on top of the world as I gazed out into the lush green trees and the infinite sky.

Of all the places I’ve been to, these two lodges will remain my favorite. I am so grateful to experience the beauty and wonder of these two incredible places. Words fail to describe how much I loved this trip and how much I enjoyed every single moment of it! But I can confidently say I will be back soon!
